A rich and creamy corn-filled pie that’s a Thanksgiving favorite in Amish communities. This comforting dish vanishes fast once it hits the table!


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, cream, eggs, sugar, flour, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until smooth.
  3. Stir in corn kernels until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour mixture into unbaked pie crust and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until center is set and top is golden brown.
  6. Let cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
