For the Crust:

- 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
- Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush lightly with olive oil, and toast for 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp.
- In a medium bowl, combine diced strawberries, balsamic vinegar, and honey. Let marinate at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
