For the Crust:
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 8 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup blackberry jam
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Spread blackberry jam on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer brie slices over the jam on half of the bread slices, then top with the remaining bread slices, jam side down.
- Spread softened butter on the outer sides of each sandwich.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Sprinkle with fresh thyme if desired, slice, and serve warm.
