These delightful blondies feature nutty brown butter blended with crunchy pistachios and almonds, swirled with rich salted chocolate.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden-brown and nutty in aroma, about 5 minutes. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine brown butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir in dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix just until combined.
  4. Fold in chopped pistachios and almonds. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  5. Drizzle melted dark chocolate over the batter and use a knife to swirl it through. Sprinkle with sea salt.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are golden and the center is set. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
