Description

A savory-sweet side dish featuring tender cabbage caramelized with garlic, topped with creamy feta, crunchy walnuts, and a spicy honey drizzle.

For the Crust:

  • 1 small head green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add sliced cabbage to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and caramelized.
  3. While cabbage cooks, combine honey and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Microwave for 15 seconds or warm gently in a saucepan until runny.
  4. Transfer caramelized cabbage to a serving dish. Top with crumbled feta and toasted walnuts.
  5. Drizzle the hot honey mixture over the top and serve warm.
