A delightful appetizer featuring creamy burrata cheese on toasted baguette slices, drizzled with spicy chili-infused honey and topped with a crunchy pistachio mixture.

For the Crust:

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
  • 8 oz burrata cheese
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp. Rub each slice with the garlic clove while still warm.
  2. In a small saucepan, warm the honey over low heat. Stir in chili flakes and let infuse for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  3. Place burrata on a plate and gently tear into pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. To assemble, top each crostini with a piece of burrata, drizzle with chili-honey, and sprinkle with chopped pistachios. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
