For the Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup red and green sprinkles
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each in powdered sugar and coat with sprinkles.
- Place cookies 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set and tops crackle.
