Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of thick bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together cottage cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice, then place buttered-side down on the baking sheet.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture evenly onto the unbuttered side of each bread slice, spreading to the edges.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, golden, and bubbly.
  6. Switch the oven to broil for 1-2 minutes to brown the tops, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool for a minute, then serve warm.
