Description

Elegant, flaky puff pastry twists filled with creamy brie and tart cranberry sauce, accented with fresh thyme for a festive appetizer.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz brie cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp coarse sugar (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle. Spread cranberry sauce evenly over half the pastry, then layer brie slices and sprinkle with thyme.
  3. Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling. Cut into 1-inch strips, then twist each strip several times and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Brush twists with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and puffed.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving warm.
