A stunning appetizer featuring crispy flatbread topped with melted burrata, fragrant garlic oil, sweet-tart lemon honey, and a crunchy almond topping.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 large flatbread or naan
  • 8 oz burrata cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Sea salt to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Place flatbread on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until crispy.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium-low. Add garlic slices and cook until golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. In another small bowl, mix honey, lemon zest, and 1 tbsp lemon juice to create lemon honey.
  4. Place burrata in the center of the warm flatbread. Drizzle with garlic oil, then spoon lemon honey over the top.
  5. Sprinkle with toasted almonds, red pepper flakes, and torn basil leaves. Season with sea salt.
  6. Slice and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
