Description

A simple yet elegant appetizer featuring tender asparagus wrapped in crispy prosciutto, served with creamy burrata and bright lemon zest.

For the Crust:

  • 1 bunch asparagus (about 20 spears, trimmed)
  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 1 ball burrata cheese
  • 1 lemon (for zesting)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wrap each asparagus spear with a slice of prosciutto, starting at the base and spiraling upward. Place on the baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and season lightly with black pepper. Bake for 15-18 minutes until prosciutto is crispy and asparagus is tender.
  4. While baking, zest the lemon and tear the burrata ball into pieces.
  5. Arrange the baked asparagus on a serving platter, top with burrata pieces, and sprinkle with lemon zest. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
