A delightful fusion of crunchy pistachios, sweet citrusy orange zest, and rich dark chocolate in a classic Florentine cookie.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 6 oz dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then add sugar, honey, and cream. Stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and fold in almonds, pistachios, flour, and orange zest.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 3 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool, then dip edges in melted dark chocolate.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
