Description

A unique twist on traditional baklava, featuring layers of crispy phyllo and a creamy ricotta filling infused with orange blossom water.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup shelled pistachios, chopped
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lay out phyllo sheets and brush with melted butter, stacking them on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden and crispy. Set aside to cool.
  3. Mix honey with cinnamon and chopped pistachios. In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese, orange blossom water, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. Break apart the baked phyllo into pieces and layer with the pistachio mixture and ricotta in serving glasses or bowls.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
