Description
This soft and fluffy sweet condensed milk bread is lightly sweet, tender, and perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack. It’s easy to make and irresistibly delicious.
Ingredients
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
1/2 cup warm milk
1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
Extra condensed milk for brushing (optional)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sweetened condensed milk, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
2. Add flour, egg, softened butter, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
3. Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
5. Punch down the dough and shape into a loaf or rolls. Place in a greased pan.
6. Let the dough rise again for 30–40 minutes.
7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
8. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
9. Brush with extra condensed milk for a shiny, sweet finish (optional).
10. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
This bread is delicious served warm with butter or jam.
You can substitute part of the flour with bread flour for a chewier texture.
Add a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon for extra flavor.
