Description

These Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes are a mouthwatering fusion of two comfort food favorites. Crispy, buttery garlic bread topped with rich, saucy beef and melted cheese—perfect for weeknight dinners or parties.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef

1/2 onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 cup ketchup

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

4 hoagie rolls or sub buns

2 tbsp softened butter

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp dried parsley

1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.

3. Add onion and garlic; cook until soft and fragrant.

4. Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.

5. Split the rolls and spread each cut side with butter, then sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley.

6. Place rolls on a baking sheet, cut-side up. Bake for 5 minutes until lightly toasted.

7. Spoon sloppy joe mixture onto toasted sides, then top with shredded cheese.

8. Return to oven and bake for another 5–7 minutes, until cheese melts and edges are crisp.

9. Serve hot with extra napkins—these are deliciously messy!

Notes

You can substitute ground turkey or plant-based crumbles for a lighter version.

Add jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy twist.

Leftover filling can be stored in the fridge for 3 days and reheated.
