Description

A stunning appetizer featuring sweet caramelized pears layered with creamy burrata cheese and drizzled with balsamic glaze.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 ripe but firm pears, cored and sliced into rounds
  • 1 ball burrata cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups arugula
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup toasted walnuts, chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add pear slices and cook until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  2. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over pears. Drizzle with honey and cook another 1-2 minutes until caramelized. Remove from heat.
  3. On serving plates, layer arugula, caramelized pear slices, and torn burrata. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, sprinkle walnuts, and season with salt and pepper.
