Description

A sweet and savory flatbread topped with creamy melted Camembert, tart cherries, and a spicy honey drizzle, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 large flatbread or naan
  • 1 wheel of Camembert cheese (about 8 oz)
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen pitted cherries, halved
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place flatbread on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
  2. Slice the top rind off the Camembert and place it in the center of the flatbread. Arrange cherries around the cheese.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the flatbread is golden.
  4. While baking, warm honey in a small saucepan over low heat and stir in red pepper flakes until infused.
  5. Remove flatbread from oven, drizzle with hot honey, sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper. Slice and serve warm.
