Description

Juicy shrimp seared to golden perfection and served with a vibrant, tangy chimichurri sauce made from fresh herbs, garlic, and olive oil.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, combine shrimp with 1 tbsp olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Heat remaining 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and opaque. Remove from heat.
  3. In another bowl, mix parsley, cilantro, garlic, red wine vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, red pepper flakes, and salt to make the chimichurri sauce.
  4. Arrange shrimp on a serving plate and drizzle generously with chimichurri sauce.
  5. Serve immediately with extra chimichurri on the side.
