Description

Elegant and easy-to-make puff pastry stars filled with sweet pear and creamy brie, perfect for holiday appetizers or a festive snack.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into star shapes using a cookie cutter. Place half the stars on the baking sheet.
  3. Top each star with a few slices of pear and a cube of brie. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush the edges of the pastry with egg wash, then place another star on top, pressing the edges to seal.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and puffed. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
