For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
- 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into star shapes using a cookie cutter. Place half the stars on the baking sheet.
- Top each star with a few slices of pear and a cube of brie. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with egg wash, then place another star on top, pressing the edges to seal.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and puffed. Let cool slightly before serving.
