Crispy, golden-brown salmon paties with a zesty lemon kick and fresh green onions, perfect for a quick Southern-style meal.

For the Crust:

  • 1 can (14.75 oz) pink salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, green onions, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Transfer the cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm with lemon wedges or your favorite dipping sauce.
