A stunning and savory-sweet bake featuring hasselback-style apples stuffed with brie, wrapped in prosciutto, and baked to perfection.

For the Crust:

  • 3 large crisp apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese, sliced into thin strips
  • 6 slices prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice each apple crosswise into thin hasselback-style cuts, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. Insert slices of brie into the cuts of each apple, spacing evenly.
  4. Wrap each apple with prosciutto slices, tucking the ends underneath.
  5. Place apples on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and honey, then sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until apples are tender and prosciutto is crispy.
  7. Remove from oven, sprinkle with walnuts if using, and serve warm.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
