An airy, crisp meringue shell cradles clouds of cream and glistening berries, making it the crown jewel of your holiday table.

For the Crust:

  • 4 large egg whites, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean, dry bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add granulated sugar, beating until stiff, glossy peaks form. Gently fold in vinegar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
  3. Spoon meringue onto prepared baking sheet, shaping into a 9-inch round with a slight indentation in the center. Bake for 1 hour, then turn off oven and let meringue cool completely inside.
  4. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over cooled meringue shell.
  5. Top with fresh berries and garnish with mint leaves. Serve immediately.
