Festive, bite-sized pinwheels with a sweet-tart cranberry-orange filling, perfect for holiday gatherings.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle. Spread cream cheese evenly over the pastry, then top with cranberry sauce and sprinkle with orange zest.
  3. Tightly roll the pastry from the long side into a log. Slice into 1/2-inch rounds and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush each pinwheel with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden and puffed.
  5. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
