A festive appetizer featuring crisp herb flatbreads, creamy cheese ball spread, and a sweet-savory pecan glaze.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. In a bowl, mix flour, rosemary, thyme, and salt. Add water and olive oil; stir until dough forms.
  2. Divide dough into 8 pieces; roll each into a thin oval. Place on baking sheets; bake 10-12 minutes until golden and crisp.
  3. For spread, beat cream cheese, cheddar, and green onions until smooth. Chill until serving.
  4. For glaze, toast pecans in a skillet over medium heat 3 minutes. Add maple syrup, butter, and pepper; simmer 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Serve flatbreads topped with cheese spread and drizzled with pecan glaze.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
