For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. In a bowl, mix flour, rosemary, thyme, and salt. Add water and olive oil; stir until dough forms.
- Divide dough into 8 pieces; roll each into a thin oval. Place on baking sheets; bake 10-12 minutes until golden and crisp.
- For spread, beat cream cheese, cheddar, and green onions until smooth. Chill until serving.
- For glaze, toast pecans in a skillet over medium heat 3 minutes. Add maple syrup, butter, and pepper; simmer 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Serve flatbreads topped with cheese spread and drizzled with pecan glaze.
