Description

A festive, show-stopping dessert featuring a tree-shaped meringue base topped with whipped cream and fresh berries.

For the Crust:

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 cup mixed fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add sugar until stiff, glossy peaks form.
  3. Fold in vinegar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract, then pipe or spread meringue into a tree shape on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 1 hour, then turn off oven and let meringue cool completely inside.
  5. Whip cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form, then spread over cooled meringue.
  6. Decorate with fresh berries and mint leaves to resemble a festive tree.
