For the Crust:
- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Green food coloring
- Red candy sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 200°F (95°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a clean bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff, glossy peaks form. Stir in vanilla and green food coloring.
- Transfer meringue to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe wreath shapes onto prepared baking sheets.
- Decorate with red candy sprinkles to resemble holly berries.
- Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until firm and dry. Let cool completely before serving.
