Light and airy meringue cookies shaped into festive wreaths, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Green food coloring
  • Red candy sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°F (95°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff, glossy peaks form. Stir in vanilla and green food coloring.
  4. Transfer meringue to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe wreath shapes onto prepared baking sheets.
  5. Decorate with red candy sprinkles to resemble holly berries.
  6. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until firm and dry. Let cool completely before serving.
