A golden bake bursting with Mediterranean flavors, perfect for a coastal-inspired meal.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve honey in warm water and sprinkle yeast over the top. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Shape the dough into a loaf and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
