Description

Elegant, bite-sized puff pastry roses filled with sweet pear and creamy brie, finished with a warm walnut honey drizzle for a perfect appetizer or dessert.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small cubes
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry and cut into 2-inch wide strips. Arrange pear slices along one edge of each strip, overlapping slightly, then place brie cubes on top.
  3. Fold the pastry over the filling to enclose, then roll each strip tightly from one end to form a rose shape. Place on baking sheet, brush with egg wash.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Meanwhile, warm honey in a small saucepan, stir in walnuts, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove pastries from oven, let cool slightly, drizzle with walnut honey, and dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm.
