A delightful appetizer featuring toasted baguette slices topped with creamy brie, sweet pear slices, tart cranberry sauce, and a drizzle of aromatic thyme-infused honey.

For the Crust:

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and toast for 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp.
  2. In a small saucepan, gently warm the honey with fresh thyme leaves over low heat for 5 minutes to infuse. Remove from heat and strain if desired.
  3. Top each toasted baguette slice with a slice of brie, a few pear slices, and a dollop of cranberry sauce.
  4. Return crostini to the oven for 3-4 minutes until the brie is slightly melted.
  5. Drizzle with thyme-infused honey, sprinkle with additional thyme leaves, and season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
