For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 3 ripe pears, cored and thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (for sprinkling)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, toss the sliced pears with honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice until evenly coated.
- Roll out the puff pastry on the prepared baking sheet. Arrange the spiced pear slices in the center, leaving a 2-inch border around the edges.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over the pears, pleating as you go. Dot the pears with butter pieces.
- Brush the pastry edges with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the pears are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with additional honey if desired.
