Description

A delicate and crispy cookie featuring a delightful blend of pistachios and almonds with a hint of orange zest.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar, flour, heavy cream, honey, and orange zest until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and fold in the almonds and pistachios. Drop teaspoon-sized portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them at least 3 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
