For the Crust:
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar, flour, heavy cream, honey, and orange zest until smooth.
- Remove from heat and fold in the almonds and pistachios. Drop teaspoon-sized portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them at least 3 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.
