For the Crust:

  • 1 wheel of brie cheese (8 oz), chilled
  • 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey for drizzling
  • Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the chilled brie into 1-inch cubes. Dredge each cube in flour, then dip into the beaten egg, and finally coat evenly with the mixture of chopped pistachios, panko, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the coated brie bites on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is soft but not melted through.
  4. Remove from oven, let cool for 1-2 minutes, then drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
