For the Crust:
- 1 wheel of brie cheese (8 oz), chilled
- 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey for drizzling
- Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the chilled brie into 1-inch cubes. Dredge each cube in flour, then dip into the beaten egg, and finally coat evenly with the mixture of chopped pistachios, panko, salt, and pepper.
- Place the coated brie bites on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is soft but not melted through.
- Remove from oven, let cool for 1-2 minutes, then drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
