For the Crust:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup brewed espresso, cooled
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the puff pastry into 3-inch squares and press them into a muffin tin to form cups. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and let cool.
- In a bowl, beat together mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Mix the cooled espresso with coffee liqueur in a small bowl. Spoon or brush the mixture into the cooled pastry cups, then fill each with the mascarpone mixture. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
