A delightful twist on the classic baklava with a pumpkin spice flavor perfect for the fall season.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 package phyllo dough (16 oz), thawed
  • 2 cups walnut halves, finely chopped
  • 1 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup honey

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, mix walnuts, pumpkin purée, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough, brush with melted butter, add another layer, spread filling, roll up, and repeat.
  4. Place rolls on the baking sheet, brush with butter, and bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Drizzle honey over warm baklava rolls and let cool before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
