For the Crust:
- 1 package phyllo dough (16 oz), thawed
- 2 cups walnut halves, finely chopped
- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup honey
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet.
- In a bowl, mix walnuts, pumpkin purée, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough, brush with melted butter, add another layer, spread filling, roll up, and repeat.
- Place rolls on the baking sheet, brush with butter, and bake for 25 minutes.
- Drizzle honey over warm baklava rolls and let cool before serving.
