Description

A simple yet elegant dessert featuring tender roasted pears topped with creamy goat cheese and a sweet, nutty maple-walnut drizzle.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 4 firm but ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 4 oz goat cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange pear halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  2. Drizzle pears with olive oil and sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Roast for 20-25 minutes until tender.
  3. While pears roast, toast walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in maple syrup and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Remove pears from oven. Top each with a dollop of goat cheese and drizzle with the maple-walnut mixture. Serve warm.
