For the Crust:
- 4 firm but ripe pears, halved and cored
- 4 oz goat cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange pear halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle pears with olive oil and sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Roast for 20-25 minutes until tender.
- While pears roast, toast walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in maple syrup and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove pears from oven. Top each with a dollop of goat cheese and drizzle with the maple-walnut mixture. Serve warm.
