Description

Decadent appetizers featuring creamy Brie, sweet caramel, crunchy nuts, and flaky puff pastry, all topped with a sprinkle of sea salt.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, rind removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped mixed nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Flaky sea salt, for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut into 2-inch squares. Place a cube of Brie in the center of each square.
  3. Top each Brie cube with a teaspoon of salted caramel sauce and a sprinkle of chopped nuts.
  4. Fold the pastry corners over the filling, pinching to seal. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until pastry is golden and puffed. Let cool slightly before serving.
