A delightful twist on the classic dessert, this savory crème brûlée combines creamy goat cheese with a unique spicy fig-chili jam for an unforgettable flavor experience.

For the Crust:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 oz goat cheese
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup fig preserve
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- Additional sugar for topping
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). In a saucepan, heat the cream gently until warm. Add the goat cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks, 2 tbsp sugar, and salt. Gradually add the cream and goat cheese mixture, whisking continuously.
- Pour mixture into ramekins, place in a baking dish, and fill with hot water halfway up the sides. Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool, then refrigerate.
- For the jam, combine fig preserve and chili flakes in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until well combined.
- Before serving, sprinkle sugar evenly on top of the chilled crème brûlées. Use a torch to caramelize the sugar. Top with a small spoonful of the spicy fig-chili jam.
