For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz smoked salmon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup herbed cream cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp capers, drained
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle. Spread herbed cream cheese evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
  3. Top with smoked salmon, dill, capers, and lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll the pastry lengthwise into a log, then shape into a circle on the baking sheet, joining the ends to form a wreath.
  5. Brush the wreath with beaten egg. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  6. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
