For the Crust:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder

- For the frosting: 4 tbsp butter, softened
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely.
- For frosting, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, beating until creamy. Frost cooled cookies.
