Description
Juicy shrimp skewers glazed with a sweet and spicy hot honey sauce, grilled to perfection for a quick, flavorful appetizer or main dish.
Ingredients
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1/3 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Wooden skewers, soaked in water
Instructions
1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes to prevent burning.
2. Thread shrimp onto skewers, about 4–5 per skewer.
3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Brush mixture over shrimp.
4. In another bowl, whisk together hot honey, soy sauce, lime juice, and red pepper flakes. Set aside half for serving.
5. Grill shrimp skewers 2–3 minutes per side, brushing with the hot honey glaze while cooking.
6. Remove from grill, drizzle with reserved glaze, and garnish with parsley or cilantro. Serve immediately.
Notes
Best served fresh off the grill.
Pair with rice, grilled veggies, or a crisp salad for a complete meal.
Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing red pepper flakes.
