Description

A perfect balance of sweet and spicy with creamy burrata to complement the caramelized endive.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 4 endives, halved lengthwise
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz burrata cheese
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, honey, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Brush the mixture over the endive halves.
  3. Place endives cut-side down on a baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes until caramelized and tender.
  4. While the endives roast, whip burrata with heavy cream and lemon zest until smooth and fluffy.
  5. Serve caramelized endives on a plate with a dollop of whipped burrata. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
