A unique and tangy twist on baked onions, combining the rich flavors of tamarind and butter.

For the Crust:

  • 4 large onions, peeled
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons tamarind paste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice a small portion off the top of each onion and place them in a baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter and tamarind paste. Pour the mixture over the onions, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, or until the onions are tender.
