A delightful fusion of creamy passionfruit custard encased in a buttery tart shell, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup passionfruit puree
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a food processor, combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Press the dough into tart pans and chill for 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 10 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, whisk together passionfruit puree, granulated sugar, egg yolks, and heavy cream over medium heat until thickened. Stir in vanilla extract and pour the filling into the pre-baked tart shells. Chill until set.
